East Kazakhstan State Department of Business and Industry development co-ordinates tourist activities in the territory of region. The Department is involved in the formation and implementation of the state polices in the field of tourism. The issues of tourism infrastructure development, licensing of tourist activities and promotion of the region’s tourist product fall within the competence of the Department. Together with the organizations concerned, the Department maintains international and internal tourist contacts, provides for participation in international and national tourist fairs and exhibitions, prepares and hold regional fairs. The Department co-ordinates activities of tourism bodies within its competence.
