The bright 10th Anniversary of "AstanaLeisure"
The famous Astana Tourism Exhibition "Astana Leisure 2013" has brilliantly celebrated its 10th Anniversary: by demonstrating the record number of participating countries, increasing the number of exhibitors and the exhibition area
Held for the 10th time on 25-27 September 2013 the "Astana Leisure" Exhibition has united on one platform 105 companies from 16 world countries. Eight countries were represented by the National Stands. The organizers of "Astana Leisure" are such exhibition companies as Iteca (Kazakhstan) and ITE Group Plc (the Great Britain) together with the Committee of Tourism of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the three days the event was visited by 3,439 specialists.
The exhibition was opened by: Nurlan Sauranbayev - Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of RK, Marat Igaliyev - Chairman of the Committee of Tourism of the MINT of RK, Boris Dalenko - Sales Director of Iteca company and Victoria Karatsupa - manager of AstanaLeisure and KITF exhibitions.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies Nurlan Sauranbayev noted that "Astana Leisure" is a quality platform for effective interaction of market participants, planning and carrying out their business in Kazakhstan, the place of meeting for domestic and foreign tour operators, resorts, pensionates, guest hotel chains, airlines, who come to Astana for the presentation of new fall programs and routes.
In 2013 for the first time the groups of companies from the Dominican Republic, the UAE (Ras-al-Khaimah emirate), Russia (Tyumen region) and Ukraine (Truskavets resort town) came to Astana tourism exhibition through the National Tourism Organizations (NTOs). Except of the above mentioned newcomers the national stands at "Astana Leisure 2013" exhibition were presented by: Kazakhstan, Thailand, Malaysia and Turkey. So, there were a twofold increase of the national stands at the exhibition.
By tradition Kazakhstan was represented by the stand of the Committee of Tourism of MINT RK and separate expositions of Tourism Departments of regions of Kazakhstan, including Astana and Almaty cities.
The visitors were traditionally acquainted with the regular routes from such companies as: Air Astana, SCAT, Air Arabia, Turkish Airlines. The charter transportation at the exhibition was represented by the following directions: India (GOA), Vietnam, China (Hainan), the UAE, Thailand.
The geography of "Astana Leisure 2013" exhibitors was expanded by the companies, representing Spain, Italy and Mexico. It is important to note, that these are hotels and travel companies.
The noteworthy contribution to the special sector "Medical tourism" was made by clinics and hospitals, sanatoriums and health centers from 5 countries: Germany, China, Thailand, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
The exhibition has showcased the active preparation of local tour operators to the autumn and winter season. The industry's innovations were presented by such companies, as: Gulnar tour, SAYAT, KAZUNION, Open Up, Natalie Tours, Silk Way, TRAVELSYSTEM, and many others. One of the trends of the exhibition was the participation of domestic company "TRAVELSYSTEM" (the multifunctional tour operator for Europe, Turkey, Egypt, Malaysia, the UAE and Thailand) in a new capacity of "The Sponsor of Registration of Astana Leisure 2013".
The "Astana Leisure 2013" Exhibition is the autumn professional tourism event in Kazakhstan, which represents: the tourism potential of Kazakhstan, trends of autumn and winter seasons, the most convenient air flights, informative workshops, favorably priced solutions and special proposals for recreation, innovations in tourism industry.
